Learning Through Experience

My teaching practice is built on one core idea: children learn deeply when they are fully immersed in what they are studying.

Drama allows pupils to step inside stories, historical moments, and real-world situations. They don’t just hear about ideas—they live them.

My Approach

I use drama as a tool for understanding, not performance.

In a typical session, pupils may:

  • Take on roles within a story or historical context
  • Explore different perspectives and choices
  • Work collaboratively to solve problems or respond to scenarios
  • Reflect on their experience and link it back to curriculum learning

This creates a learning environment where every child can access the material, regardless of confidence or prior attainment.

Inclusion at the Heart

Whether a pupil is confident or quiet, academic or practical, drama creates a space where everyone can participate, contribute and succeed.

No performance experience is required—only curiosity and willingness to explore.

My Background

I am a drama practitioner working with primary schools to deliver engaging, curriculum-based learning experiences that support teachers and enrich classroom topics.

My work focuses on making learning active, memorable, and meaningful.
